Art Museum Touring

A Digital Tour for the Art Lover

Help Save the Events Page!

The Events Page will be discontinued as of Feb. 1, 2014, unless money is raised for custom programming that will allow museums to post their own events. The 160 museums currently on Art Museum Touring send more information about events, classes, programs, concerts, etc., than we are able to post. It is not fair to the museums' whose events we are not able to post. Art Museum Touring's primary mission is to focus on the museums' exhibitions, not its events. However, the museums and our visitors (potential tourists) really enjoy and use the Events.

Custom programming would allow museum to post their own events up to 5 weeks in advance. Museums would have the option of a timed Tweet sent from Art Museum Touring for that event. The new Events Page would allow museums to post their own activities: openings, receptions, lectures, tours, films, concerts, festivals, workshops, etc. Hundreds of events over multiple pages would listed instead of the few that are posted now as we have time. But, this will cost money to create. If you want this Events page upgrade, support it by contributing to its creation. You get to help decide the future of the Event Page. The future of the Events Page is up to our visitors!*

How to Contribute to the Events Page Programming

1. Donate via PayPal

2. By mail send to donations to:

Art Museum Touring
165 Northwestern Ave.
Oak Ridge, TN 37830

OR

1. Buy ad space for your organization, or business. Ads could have an image with a link.

Ad space may be for now, or months from now. If there is a major event you want to publicize this spring, e.g., you can pay for the future ad spot now to help keep the Events Page. We will notify you 2 weeks in advance of the time you want the ad to run to send your ad spot.

2. Donate ad space to your favorite organization (we will contact the organization to see when they would like to use the ad space).

* The Events page upgrade is one piece of our Kickstarter proposal. Curretnly, that is unlikely to succeed. Even we have difficulty finding our proposal on Kickstarter. We want to have the programmer begin work on the Events page ASAP to have it readyh in early February 2014. That is why we are seeking your donations now.
