Focus Tours at the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace
At 4:30 pm, on selected Fridays, the expert professional staff of the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace will lead an in-depth focus tour of the historic house. The tours are by reservation only.

Civil War Journeys
Fridays at 4:30 PM ( May 16, June 6, 20, July 11, 25, Aug 8, 22, 2008)

Explore Savannah’s Civil War experience. From battles to surrender, shortages and trials, through the visit of Union General William Tecumseh Sherman, the story is always engaging. Like many American families, the Gordons had kith and kin fighting on both sides of the conflict. Expert professional staff lead an in-depth tour of the Juliette Low Birthplace with a focus on the Civil War era.


The Spirits Are Willing: A Look at the Spiritualist Movement in the Victorian Period
Fridays at 4:30 PM ( May 23, June 13, 27, July 18, August 1, 15, 2008)

The Victorian era was rife with movements, revivals and philosophical exploration. The Gordons and other prominent Victorians were fascinated with Spiritualism. Learn about this fascinating belief through the correspondence of the Gordons though a tour led by expert professional staff.

The elegant Birthplace of Juliette Low will open for special evening tours. See the grand home in the glittering low light of the gaslight era, and let imagination transport you back to the past.
