Fechin's paintings and drawings clearly demonstrate his classical academic training; however, it’s the manner in which he combines this skillful mastery with energetic use of line, color and texture to define form which sets his work apart from that of other artists. Moreover, he has an uncanny ability to capture not just the figure, but also the unique humanity present in each of his subjects.

This will be the first exhibition to focus on Marjorie Eaton’s vast portfolio of work, not only as a modernist painter, but also as a photographer and actress. The show will also provide an unprecedented glimpse into Eaton’s personal life through never before seen letters, photographs and personal effects.
